AI Food Scanner: Cal Tracker  ·  Effective date: May 10, 2026  ·  Last updated: May 10, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Vadim Kuznetsov ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares your personal information when you use the AI Food Scanner: Cal Tracker Android application (the "App"). It also explains your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and other applicable laws.

1. Who We Are

For all privacy-related inquiries, including exercising your rights under GDPR or CCPA, please contact us at the email above.

2. What Data We Collect

2.1 Food Photos and Camera Data

When you use the AI food identification feature, you may take or upload a photo of a meal or food item. That image is transmitted to our backend server solely for AI-based calorie and nutrition analysis. Once the result is returned to your device, the image is permanently deleted from our servers. We do not store, retain, or share your food photos.

2.2 Manually Entered Food and Meal Text

When you manually describe or search for a food item by typing text, that input is transmitted to our backend server for AI-based nutrition lookup and processing. Once the result is returned to your device, the submitted text is permanently deleted from our servers. We do not retain your food entries on our servers.

2.3 Health and Body Data

The App may invite you to optionally enter personal health information such as your height, weight, age, sex, and calorie/fitness goal. This data is used solely to personalise your calorie targets and nutritional recommendations. This data is stored exclusively on your device and is never transmitted to our servers. If you uninstall the App, this data is deleted along with the App.

2.4 Analytics and Crash Data

We use the following third-party services to understand how the App is used and to diagnose technical issues:

These services may collect pseudonymous device identifiers, IP address, app version, OS version, language, and usage events. This data is pseudonymous — it cannot directly identify you by name, but it is associated with a device identifier. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy.

2.5 Purchase and Subscription Data

Premium features and subscriptions are processed entirely through Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment card details. We receive only a confirmation of purchase status (active/inactive subscription) from Google Play to unlock premium features.

12. Consent and Analytics Opt-Out

When you first launch the App, you will be presented with a consent dialog for analytics data collection in compliance with GDPR requirements.
